Entry to the European club for Classic owner-breeders is practically by invitation only, so difficult is it to pass by the velvet rope.
Wealth, enterprise and determination may not be enough to allow access to those exclusive, walnut-panelled corridors. An aristocratic connection? Well, that’s a different matter altogether.
The blue-blooded conduit for US start-up LNJ Foxwoods was secured 13 years ago, not long after Jaime Roth had encouraged her parents, Larry and Nanci, to invest in her proposition of founding a thoroughbred operation.
