Classic winners and Royal Ascot success featured among a personal best 2024 for Karl Burke, who trained 121 winners in Britain and amassed more than £4 million in prize-money.
As a consequence all 139 boxes at Spigot Lodge are full, with a large proportion of Burke's team boasting lofty official ratings, but the man in charge warns that doesn't guarantee a repeat of last year.
"We've got 20 horses rated over 100 and everyone is getting excited about that but that means they'll be running in the top races and it's not guaranteed they're going to have a good season," he says. "But, if they stay sound and we can place them right, I'm hoping they should be competitive."
