Mount Diablo Hill Climb - JUNE 20 (Sat)
This 10K Individual Time Trial will launch at the entry kiosk on
Northgate Rd. and finish just short of the junction of Northgate
Rd. and Mt. Diablo Scenic Bl. After launching, you’ll get
one last chance to get your climbing legs on by speeding through
1 ½ miles of scenic gentle rollers before heading up into
the steep, tightly-twisting turns of the majestic mountainside.
Prizes are four-deep per category, except Pro/1/2 which is five-deep. KOM and QOM prizes will also go to the fastest man and woman of the day
New racers are welcome! If you don’t have a USCF racing license
you can apply for a license at www.usacycling.org or purchase a
one-day license at the registration tent on race day.

Registration check-in opens at 7:00am on race day. Online pre-registration is available through

IMPORTANT: Prior to race date, check back here
for your exact starting time! Participants will be grouped in time
blocks by category. See race flyer for your approximate starting
time range. Starting times in 30 second increments will be posted
for each participant on this website on June 19.
Parking and registration is located at Northgate High School, 425
Castle Rock Rd., Walnut Creek. Participants will need to ride 1.6
miles from parking to the start line prior to starting. Finish is
at the ranger residence area just below the junction ranger station.
Participants will descend back in the opposite lane to the parking
lot after completing the race.
A few rules: Participants may not cross the centerline
at any time during the race or on the return descent. Posted speed
limit on the descent will be enforced by park rangers. Helmets are
required at all times. There will be no tolerance for ejecting water
bottles, wrappers, gel packets, or other garbage on the mountain.
Please tuck your garbage back into your jersey pockets.
Spectators: Spectators who would like to be at
the finish will need to ascend the mountain on the south side up
Mt. Diablo Scenic Rd. and park in the Sunset Picnic or any other
legal parking space near the junction, and walk over to the finish
area. Normal day use fee applies for cars. Northgate Rd. will be
completely closed to traffic. At the base of the mountain, parking
will only be available at Northgate High, 1.6 miles from the start
line.
